Welcome Pastor Kundan Nasir

Welcome Pastor Kundan Nasir to Hope Presbyterian Church

The congregation of Hope Presbyterian Church is delighted to welcome Pastor Kundan Nasir, affectionately known as Pastor K, along with his wife, Anastasia, their daughters, Lana and Sophia, and their beloved Husky, Floofy, to our church family.

As we begin an exciting new chapter in the life of our church, we invite you to learn more about the remarkable journey, faith, and calling that have led Pastor K to Winter Haven.

A Legacy of Faith and Service
Pastor K was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and comes from a family with a rich heritage of ministry. He is a third-generation pastor in the Presbyterian Church (USA), following in the footsteps of both his father and grandfather. Growing up in a pastoral family gave him a deep appreciation for faith, community, and the importance of caring for others.
 
Answering God’s Call
Although Pastor K initially planned to pursue a career in law and attended Rutgers University as a pre-law student, God had a different plan for his life. During his college years, he experienced a clear and compelling call to ministry. In response, he changed direction and enrolled at Princeton Theological Seminary, where he began preparing for a life of service to Christ and the Church.
 
A Heart for Compassionate Care
Following seminary, Pastor K completed extensive training to become a clinical hospital chaplain. Through this ministry, he walked alongside patients and families during some of life’s most difficult moments, offering spiritual support, comfort, and hope. His dedication to compassionate care earned recognition within his community and strengthened his passion for serving others through both presence and prayer.
 
Innovation and Outreach
Like many people, Pastor K experienced unexpected changes during the COVID-19 pandemic. Drawing upon his lifelong passion for automobiles—especially Ford Mustangs—he launched a YouTube channel called StangMode . What began as a creative outlet grew into a thriving online community. Through this platform, Pastor K developed valuable communication and outreach skills while connecting with people from diverse backgrounds around the world.
 
Leading with Vision and Mission
Pastor K’s first pastoral call was to Community Presbyterian Church in Brigantine, New Jersey. During his ministry there, he demonstrated a strong commitment to outreach and mission. One notable accomplishment was securing a $20,000 grant from the Community FoodBank of New Jersey, significantly expanding the church’s food pantry ministry and its ability to serve local families in need.
His passion for community engagement, relationship-building, and service continues to shape his ministry today.
 
Family at the Center
Family plays a central role in Pastor K’s life and ministry. He and his wife, Anastasia, are devoted parents to Lana and Sophia, and they are excited to begin this new season together in Florida. Whether spending time with family, meeting new people, or exploring their community, they look forward to becoming an active part of life at Hope Presbyterian Church and throughout Winter Haven.
 
Beyond the Pulpit
When he is not serving the church, Pastor K enjoys following football as a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, discovering new restaurants, spending time with family, and pursuing his lifelong love of cars. His enthusiasm, authenticity, and ability to connect with people are evident both inside and outside the church.
 
Looking Ahead
Pastor K felt called to seek a church home where he could invest his gifts, raise his family, and serve a congregation for years to come. We are grateful that God has led him to Hope Presbyterian Church.
As we look toward the future, we are excited about the opportunities God has in store for our congregation, our ministries, and our community. We invite you to join us in extending a warm welcome to Pastor K and his family as we begin this journey together in faith, hope, and service.
