COMMUNION
Hope Church believes in our communion with God at the Lord’s Table. Holy Communion is offered during worship service on the FIRST Sunday of each month. Hope Church welcomes anyone who is a Christian to participate. The church elders take the bread and cup down the aisles which are then passed to members in their pews enabling even those with limited mobility to partake.
SPECIAL SERVICES
LENT IN THE GARDEN OF HOPE
Beginning the afternoon of Palm Sunday and continuing through Holy Week, Hope Church participates in a Lenten Journey of Faith in our peaceful Garden of Hope. Visit each station of The Last Days of Christ for scripture, prayer, and meditation. Follow the path of each of the seven stations in the Garden; each one reflects an event in the last earthly days of Christ, beginning the day after Palm Sunday through His Crucifixion.
A self-guided brochure is available in the outdoor brochure box located in the Garden of Hope. Each station has a graphic and readings to aid you in your reflection and prayer. May God bless you and guide your path always.
EASTER SUNRISE
Each year, the Hope Church Family witnesses the sunrise on Easter morning to celebrate the defeat of death and the hope of salvation. We gather in the Garden of Hope to acknowledge He is not here; he has risen! – Luke 24:6-7
ASH WEDNESDAY
Hope Church marks the beginning of Lent with Ash Wednesday to help focus our Christian hearts on repentance and prayer. Come mark this intentional season of focus for the life of Christ including His ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection. The congregation is invited to receive the ashes on their foreheads to symbolize our preparation in celebration of Easter.
MAUNDY THURSDAY
Your family is invited to commemorate the Last Supper with Hope Church. Mark your calendar to observe Jesus’ Last Supper, His washing of the disciples’ feet, and of “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples if you have a love for one another” – John 13:35.
